Defining the Communities Concepts
One of the most important steps in developing a successful social media website is creating a
Community Concept that is consistent with the client's business model and engages users to visit the
website and be active contributors within the community. Looppa's team develops the Community
Concept based on the strategic descriptions of the community from planning to implementation.
We offer skilled and professional website development services that will make your community stand
out from the crowd. Our website development experts and consultants will analyze your business profile
and industry to make sure that your website and community are developed and designed in the most
relevant and effective way possible.
Prior to the construction of a large-scale social network community website, it is strongly recommended
to identify the goals and a specification list. We will create a site plan, brainsform and research site
features. When all specifications are finalized, a complete proposal will be prepared for your review.
Our solutions are unique to each project, please see the below examples..
Oficial Community of Patito Feo
The Official Community of Patito Feo was launched by Looppa in collaboration with two leaders of the Spanish media world, Ideas del Sur and Televisa.
The show is an award winning musical TV series for young adults and children. The setting is in a musical school and the plotline is based on the rivalry of two groups of
children, Las Divinas (The Beauties) and Las Populares (The Populars).
As a result of the TV show's success content about the show and the cast was scattered across the web.
Videos were uploaded to YouTube, Facebook and Myspace as
well as photos were being uploaded onto Flickr and fotologs.
Our goal was to create a community that gathered fans onto one central website, simulating the themes on the show, and encouraged virtual activity with the cast.
What drives the Community Concept for Patito Feo?
Divided Community: When users register with the website they must elect to be part of the Las Divinas or Las Populares community. By dividing the users into the same two groups as on the show the community engages in activities that mirror the rivalry on the series.
Exclusive and New Content: The community did not rely on content from the series; all content was unique and original and created by the cast sharing with the audience their private life. To facilitate production, we provided each cast member with their own Flip camera and the necessary training and guidance so that they could create quality videos and upload them to their profile page. The cast filmed 1,039 videos of exclusive content and users spent 60,994 hours viewing them.
This project was featured by Microsoft.
Oficial Community of Musimundo
Looppa will soon launch a music community called
M!MUNDO for Musimundo, the leading Argentine retailer
of CDS, DVDs, Audio, Computers, Electronics, Gaming and Books.
The official M!MUNDO community was created to unite
bands and music fans, while promoting the Musimundo
brand.
What drives the Community Concept for M!MUNDO?
Live Streaming Concerts from the Musimundo Store:
Musimundo built a stage in one of their large stores in a neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Belgrano. To drive movement to the store and on the website, the store hosts bands on the stage for live concerts which are simultaneously broadcasted live in the web community. As well, recorded copies of the concerts are available for registered users to share and comment on. This generates activity on the website during and after the concerts.
Exclusive Band Content: Within the community bands can create profiles and upload music videos or songs which users can play back using the community players.
Musica Urbana (Urban Music): Musica Urbana is a place in the community where users can upload photos or videos of music that they hear on the streets of Buenos Aires. This content can be shared, commented, or voted on.
Fan Groups: Fan groups connect users together with similar musical tastes allowing them to share their passion about a band.
Oficial Community of Greenpeace
Looppa teamed up with Greenpeace, a global campaigning
organization focused on environmental issues, to create
an interactive community that gathers supporters together
and facilitates discussion of global campaign topics.
TThe goal for the Greenpeace community was to use socia
media to enhance their existing campaigns, issue
discussion, and create a community that includes more
content than just text. A community where supporters can
present cases, upload photos and videos, ask for support,
and then let people discuss, comment, and add additional
contents.
What drives the Community Concept for Greenpeace?
Online Discussion Beyond Text:
The discussion in the community creates a place where users can unite to respond to existing issues or raise new ones, helping Greenpeace to communicate with the supporters and between themselves. Users can comment or add videos and photos to display their points or report visual observations. The community uses web 2.0 applications to facilitate greater and deeper interaction.
Groups & Environmental Cases: Groups can be created around specific topics to help facilitate and support the cause. Greenpeace presents environmental cases to the community so that users can respond back with their own insight in various media forms. These cases generate discussion and user participation.
Oficial Community for Newspapers
Looppa's newspaper platform offers publishers a social media solution that consists of online publishing content contributed by both the publisher and the readers.
Our solution addresses the current needs of the industry and enables newspapers to engage their readers on the web and recapture revenue lost to the internet, falling print advertising revenue, and slowing sales.
The interaction created through the site generates valuable advertising opportunities and the sense of community captures readers' loyalty.
